First
of all it has to be someone with whom you feel comfortable, even the
most experienced Master might be someone you don't gel with. Do some
research and look for as much information as you can, there are some
outrageous claims so keep a level head.
If
you have someone in mind prepare a list of questions before you arrange
to meet them and take your time don't allow yourself to be pressured. If
you know someone who practices Reiki ask them for information and about
their training, nearly all therapists would be happy to help someone who
shows an interest.
Most
of all trust your instincts!
During
and after training at any level your Master is there to help and guide
your development, answer questions or concerns if treating or training
someone.
It
is possible to ask your Master if you could attend or help in either
treatments or teaching to gain more experience or knowledge, most will
be happy to help you get necessary experience as not everyone will have
people they can practice treatments on.
Once
you have completed your Masters level it is a good idea when
your Master is training a group to watch the training and attunement
process to help build your confidence.
